The Most Funny, Relatable & Inspiring Skincare Quotes
We all really do be living the same skincare life, huh? In this article, we’ve collected the all time best skincare quotes for you.
And misery loves company, right?
Take a dive today into this list of best skincare quotes, and take some comfort in the fact that you’re not alone.
Skincare can be tough, and sometimes we need a gentle reminder that skin doesn’t equal beauty, and that everything will be okay.
#1 Skincare Quote
This skincare quote rings SO true. A lot of people who first get into skincare, expect to see instant, or at least ‘quick’ results after using a skincare product.
People with this mindset towards skincare will ultimately be disappointed; it’s just not how your skin works.
You have to be patient, and to be honest, the majority of the time, skincare products won’t work they way you expect them to.
You have to read your skin, and find out exactly what it needs. Everyone is different, with a different set of skin, that needs different things.
#2 Skincare Quote
Your skin has a mind of its own.
This is a completely anecdotal skincare experience but I recently stopped caring about drinking water, eating the right foods etc for my skin.
I ate more sugar, more dairy, generally just stopped caring. And guess what?
My skin improved.
I don’t know why. It just did. Maybe it’s something in the air, maybe it’s hormones, maybe God is real and decided to be nice.
The moral of the story is that some of the time, your skin will just do its own thing; regardless of what you eat, and how you treat it.
Life is tough, huh?
#3 Skincare Quote
The general consensus on the internet is that St Ives apricot scrub is literally worse than satan.
Despite this, I recently watched a TikToker respond to a comment asking about how she had such good skin while being in her 40s.
She 100%, unironically, attributed her amazing skin towards regular use of St Ives apricot scrub. You can just imagine the comments on that one.
#4 Skincare Quote
This one hits close to home, and it’s something I’ve only recently started to come to terms with, in regards to my own skin.
Society loves to dictate what it wants from you. It praises ‘non-acne’ skin, Eurocentric facial features, strong gender roles, and gender conformity.
You’re beautiful. Your features are beautiful, despite how hard media will fight to not represent you, or to cast actors that look like you.
I feel as if beauty and confidence are closely connected.
In my opinion, the most beautiful people I’ve seen, are the ones that genuinely do not seem to care about societal standards and expectations, and are doing what they think is beautiful.
Own your features.
#5 Skincare Quote
This is somewhat polarising. I do think a lot of influencers 2 cents on skincare and their routine is somewhat un-needed.
No Emily, being rich and using all Tatcha and Drunk Elephant products is not a skincare routine.
Despite this, I have gotten some useful skincare tips from online skincare gurus.
A bunch of people on TikTok (I know, second time mentioned, I need help) advocated for using the Dove soap bar for their acne and oily skin.
I took the dive… and my skin loved it. After years (and a lot of money) trying out different cleansers, I’m somewhat infuriated that Dove soap ended up being the best.
Don’t be fooled though. The Dove soap helping my skin is more of a testament that my skin is actually extremely sensitive, and needs super basic, simple cleansers.
Dove soap isn’t actually a miracle silver bullet cleanser. If you think you have a sensitive skin type though, it might be useful.
#6 Skincare Quote
This might be one of my favourite skincare quotes.
SO many articles mention reducing stress as a ‘tip’ for skincare.
Literally no one wants to be stressed, so this always seems like a pointless skincare tip.
What demographic are they trying to hit? Stress loving individuals that don’t realise it can impact their skin?
From my own experience with acne, stress can be a viscous cycle.
Stressed because of acne -> acne gets worse -> more stressed.
The moral of the story is, if you’re already stressed, don’t add extra stress, by stressing over how stressed you are.
At least give yourself a tiny little break in that regard. But if you can’t do that, no stress.
#7 Skincare Quote
Life can suck, and everyone has obsessions, interests, and hobbies that help them cope. For a lot of people, that takes the form of skincare.
It’s honestly a pretty good escape.
#8 Skincare Quote
On the internet, there’s a multitude of quotes be repeated about how you don’t ‘need’ makeup if you have ‘good’ skin.
Don’t listen to them. ‘Good’ skin doesn’t exist, makeup is amazing, do whatever you want.
