All The Details On Pharrell Williams Skincare Line Humanrace.
Look, it’s no secret; the man has amazing skin.
People have been impressed enough by his skin to create memes, and even throw around the occasional time travel conspiracy theory.
It doesn’t come to much surprise then, for him to release his very own skincare range, right?
These skincare products have been created under his own brand, titled ‘Humanrace‘.
The first thing this brand conveys, is an emphasis on universal, gender neutral products – which is a refreshing perspective, compared to the predatory way that beauty brands market skincare ‘for men‘.
Despite how rampant capitalism loves to create useless ‘gendered’ products, Pharrell’s Skincare line is part of a somewhat new wave of brands that break through societal expectations of gender roles.
The evolution of non-binary, genderless beauty products have been spurred on by brands and internet influencers alike.
James Charles being the face of CoverGirl, exemplifies this shift.
Don’t tell Ben Shapiro this though. The pseudo intellectual that somehow has a large following on Twitter, has recently started ranting about this erosion of gender binaries, and how the concept of being a man is being destroyed.
This is coming from the very same Ben Shapiro that lies about his height being 5’9″, when it’s really 5’4″, and admitting that his wife literally does not enjoy sex with him.
It’s perhaps best to take to take your opinion on masculinity from a better source.
The Humanrace skincare products are further fragrance free and vegan.
The brand will only start off with three main products, that Pharrell has dubbed the ‘three minute facial’.
The new skincare products by Pharrell are:
- Rice Powder Cleanser
- Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator
- Humidifying Cream
It’s an impressive line up. Only time can tell if these skincare products will deliver results, but if they are truly ‘formulated from Pharrell’s skincare experience’ then we might be in for some great products.
A key focus of Pharrell’s skincare line is moisture, and humidity. In an interview with Allure, he explains that: “I grew up in humidity. The way I think about things… I’m an Aries, but I’m also a Cancer rising. Water makes me feel free. Water is very inspiring to me.”
Sometimes you need to cleanse your spirit. Sometimes you need to cleanse your mind. Sometimes you’ve just got to get rid of some dead skin.”
With the Humanrace skincare line dropping November 25th, we can’t wait to see what Pharrell has cooked up.
